Al Ahly were 1-0 better than Etoile du Sahel in Sunday’s Caf Champions League game thanks to Junior Ajayi’s first-half strike.
After a cagey half-hour, the Nigerian scored broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute. He scored from a rebound after Ammar Jemal’s clearance of El Shahat fell his way.
Thanks to this victory, the Egyptians lead Group B with 10 points – one above Etoile and Al Hilal, who are tied in second place with nine points each.
