A former Premier League player for Liverpool and Bournemouth has joined non-league Ebbsfleet United to rebuild his career - and was immediately named on the bench for their FA Cup game.
The winger, 27, made 119 Premier League appearances, as well as eight outings in the Europa League, but has been without a club since leaving Turkish club Adanaspor last year without making an appearance.
Ebbsfleet confirmed their new signing, and said that their new acquisition would wear the number 33 for Dennis Kutrieb's side, having worn that same squad number for his previous teams.
