Crystal Palace manager Sam Allardyce targets eight points from remaining games to secure top flight status

Sam Allardyce believes Crystal Palace require eight points from their remaining eight matches to guarantee Premier League survival - but they face their unenviable run-in with a lengthy injury list.

Yohan Cabaye became the latest on the Palace treatment table after suffering a calf problem in their 3-1 defeat at Southampton on Wednesday night and will likely miss their next game with Arsenal on Monday.

The French midfielder joins Patrick Van Aanholt, Scott Dann, James Tomkins, Loic Remy, Frazer Campbell, James McArthur, Connor Wickham and Pape Souare on the club's injury list.
