NBA Draft: Blazer picks invite trades with crowded front court

The two Blazer picks came at slots 10 and 26 in the NBA Draft.

Gonzaga’s Zach Collins was too enticing to Neil Olshey to wait around at 15, so he sent picks 15 and 20 to get pick 10. Olshey opted to not move pick 26, and with it, he instead chose Purdue’s Caleb Swanigan.

There wasn’t any sure-fire rumors that the Blazers were in hot pursuit of Collins. He didn’t even work out for the team, only taking a personality test for Portland. Swanigan came in for a workout June 12, but never appeared as a hot target leading up to the draft.
