By Cody Sharrett — The Trail Blazers (7-11) return to Portland for a two-game homestand, starting Tuesday night against the Dallas Mavericks (10-8). Both teams enter the matchup coming off Monday losses as Portland fell to the Clippers in LA, 102-87, and Dallas was defeated in Sacramento, 112-98.
Portland’s backcourt of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum are the second-highest scoring guard tandem in the NBA, averaging 44.2 points per game. Mason Plumlee (8.6 rpg.), Al-Farouq Aminu (7.7 rpg.) and Ed Davis (7.3 rpg.) are all among the league’s top 50 rebounds.
