The Los Angeles Times is reporting that former Trail Blazer Craig Smith says that in 2012 -- the same year he played ball for Portland -- he discovered he had just $85 in a bank account that should have had millions.
Smith's earnings from six years in the NBA reportedly exceeded $9 million.
Smith told The Times that he was not a good money manager. He alleges in a pair of lawsuits that his business manager at the time transferred $2 million out of his bank accounts at City National Bank and U.S. Bank.
Smith is suing his former business manager and the banks, claiming that they should have notified him of the unusual activity, according to The Times.
