Last week, after a fairly decent first half, the Timbers went straight off the rails around the 60th minute and fell to Toronto by a score of 4-1. TFC got two goals from Justin Morrow, a goal from Marco Delgado, and another from Victor Vazquez in a space of 30 minutes, while the Timbers’ lone goal came as a consolation from Diego Valeri in the last few minutes of the match. Giovinco was the only player to pick up a card in the match, for dissent.
MacVanek had the pick of the week for calling a loss, Vazquez’s goal with Delgado’s assist, and the fact there wouldn’t be many cards.
