Drunken driving arrest of Portland Timbers players caught on police dash cam video

Newly released dash camera video shows the arrests of two Portland Timbers players after a drunken driving crash last October in Lake Oswego.

Timbers goalkeeper Jake Gleeson rear-ended another driver near Pilkington Road and Willow Lane. Police said he called team captain Liam Ridgewell soon after.

By the time police responded to the scene, the car that Gleeson hit had left. It was driven by a bartender who worked at the bar where Gleeson had just been, Hop N' Cork, court testimony/police records showed.

Gleeson and Ridgewell were later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants after failing field sobriety tests.
