Zags Score Twice in Final Minutes to Beat Pilots 3-2

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Gonzaga Bulldogs scored two goals in the waning moments of the match to steal a game from the Portland Pilots 3-2. The loss drops the Pilots to 4-6-0 on the year and 0-2-0 in conference play.

Jordan Thompson, Erin Healy and Maddie Kemp were the goalscorers for the Zags. Meanwhile, Taryn Ries and Nedya Sawan scored the two goals for the Pilots. Ries's goal was the third of her season while Sawan's goal was her fifth.

It was a physical start for the first 15 minutes, with both teams defending aggressively. Both teams utilized an aggressive high press in hopes of forcing early turnovers near the goal.
