Slaga Pours in Career-High 24 Points, but No. 15 Washington Prevails

PORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland sophomore Darian Slaga scored a career-high 24 points against No. 15 Washington, but the Huskies prevailed 83-53 over the Pilots on Sunday afternoon at the Chiles Center. Slaga overcomes her previous best of 19 points, which set recorded late last season.

Portland (1-5) limited the Huskies, who are one of the top scoring teams in the nation, to close to 25 percent shooting for most of the first half, while offensively the Pilots did well to remain within reach. Midway through the second period, Slaga drained a deep three-pointer, her first of the game.
