Pilots Set Impressive Marks at the Lewis and Clark Spring Break Invitation

PORTLAND, Ore. --- Freshman Michal Jones landed seventh all time on the UP top-10 outdoor record list in the 400m hurdles as the Portland Pilots men's and women's track and field teams concluded competition at the Lewis and Clark Spring Break Open in the Griswold Stadium earlier today.

Sophomore Noah Schutte led the Pilots in the 3000m-steeple chase with his first place finish (9:06.96). Redshirt sophomore Joe Horen was just behind him in second (9:11.86), while junior Jeff Thies finished fourth (9:20.59). In the 1500m, sophomore Trent Mazelli ran an impressive race, executing a splintering kick to produce a personal record and a first place finish (3:55.
