Pilots Open Indoor Season in Seattle

SEATTLE, Wash. --- The Portland Pilots men's and women's track and field teams opened the indoor season with a solid showing at the UW Indoor Preview, which was held on Saturday. The teams competed against top level colleges as well as several professional running clubs.

Several Pilots on the women's side competed in their first indoor races of their collegiate career, including Natalie Smith (10000m: 3:05.79), Maddy Lyons (1600m: 5:17.07), Emily Bechen (600m 1:40.87), Maya Murphy-Cook (200m: 27.04), Michal Jones (200m 26.76), and Lacey Conner (3000m: 10:33.40).

Taryn Rawlings had an impressive race in the 3000m by placing 11th overall just behind several professional competitors.
