PORTLAND, Ore. --- After a scoreless first half, both the Portland Pilots and Corban Warriors found the back in the net in the second half as the two teams battled to a 1-1 draw in an exhibition men's soccer match played on Wednesday night at Merlo Field. Jason Romero scored Portland's goal in his debut for the Pilots.
Romero's goal came in the 57th minute on through ball from Caua Soares inside the top of the 18. Romero, in his first season on The Bluff after coming north from UCLA, stayed composed and slotted one in to give the home side a 1-0 lead.
