DAVIS, Calif. – Portland senior Pierre Garcia recorded another impressive three-set win on Saturday to highlight day two of the Aggie Invitational on Saturday at the Marya Welch Tennis Center.
Garcia, who posted a come-from-behind three set win in Friday's opening round, defeated the No. 5 seed Ruadhan O'Sullivan of Gonzaga in a marathon on Saturday. He won the first set in a tiebreaker, dropped a second set tiebreaker, and then pushed to a 6-3 win in the third to clinch. He moved on to face the top-seeded Bjorn Hoffman of Cal in the quarterfinals.
