SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – University of Portland men's tennis juniors Michail Pervolarakis and Mathieu Garcia received invitations to participate in the prestigious 2016 Battle of the Bay Classic, hosted at the California Tennis Club.
Garcia will open with a singles match against James Wade of UC Davis on Friday at 10:30 a.m. and Pervolarakis will face Pepperdine's Dane Esses Friday at 5:30 p.m. The duo will also compete in the doubles draw, where they received a bye to the Round of 16 where they will take on a team of Jerry Lopez (TCU) and Oliver Poysti (USF).
