LMU Stuns Pilots With Late Comeback Win

PORTLAND, Ore. – Brandon Brown made a driving lay-up with five seconds left in regulation as the Loyola Marymount Lions pulled off a late comeback to beat the Portland Pilots by a 79-78 margin Saturday night in West Coast Conference action at the Chiles Center.

Alec Wintering went coast-to-coast on the ensuing inbounds, but his runner was tipped as the Lions (9-8, 2-4 WCC) overcame a five point deficit in the final 45 seconds to stun the host Pilots (9-8, 2-3).

Wintering scored a game-high 22 points, while Jazz Johnson added 15 for Portland. Sophomore Rashad Jackson added a career-high 11 points, all in the second half.
