Carlin-Voigt, Christensen, Michel & Sanchez Honored as Pilots Nearly Sweep WCC Awards

PORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland's historic season continues as the Pilots nearly swept the West Coast Conference Men's Soccer Individual Postseason honors, which were announced on Tuesday. Senior Eddie Sanchez is the WCC's Player of the Year, junior Paul Christensen is the league's goalkeeper of the year, Benji Michel was named the conference freshman of the year, and Nick Carlin-Voigt is the co-coach of the year.

The Pilots won the 2016 WCC Championship and are returning to the NCAA Playoffs for the first time since 2009.

Sanchez, Michel and junior defender Kris Reaves were also named to the All-WCC First Team, while Christensen landed on the All-WCC Second Team.
