GPI Player of the Year: Anthony Zinno Leads Post WSOP

Each week, the Global Poker Index (GPI) updates its Player of the Year race taking into account a player's 13 best results over the course of the calendar year, according to its formula. For a look at the entire list, visit the official GPI website.

A busy summer in Las Vegas is now behind us and when the dust settled, it was Anthony Zinno that came out ahead in the GPI POY race. Zinno's five World Series of Poker final tables and his cash in the Bellagio Cup $10K event, along with his WPT results from earlier in the year, have boosted Zinno the top of the pack and he has room to improve upon his numbers as he only has 12 cashes on the year so far, and the race allows for the best 13 results to count.
