Rooneys to have North Catholic school buildings named after them

Steelers chairman Dan Rooney has another athletic complex that will bear his name. Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School is honoring Dan and Patricia Rooney by naming buildings on the Cranberry school campus after them.

The practice areas for the North Catholic athletic teams will be named Ambassador Dan Rooney Athletic Complex and the school library will be named Patricia Rooney Library. The athletic fields and library will receive extensive upgrades as part of an initiative established by Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert and several other alumni of North Catholic.

Dan Rooney is a 1950 North Catholic graduate.
