Pittsburgh Steelers Select Maryland S Sean Davis In Second Round

The Pittsburgh Steelers have drafted Maryland safety Sean Davis with the 58th pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Davis was a 40 game starter in 50 career games with Maryland. In 2015, he recorded 88 tackles, forcing five fumbles, and three interceptions. Throughout his career, he mixed between safety and corner but spent most of his time at safety and worked out there when I saw him at the Senior Bowl. Davis is a physical player with fast feet and shows a ton of explosion.

Safety felt like the odds-on pick for Pittsburgh, considering they brought 12 in for pre-draft visits, including Davis.
