GM says it's 'beneficial' for Le'Veon Bell to join Steelers camp

LATROBE, Pa. -- The Pittsburgh Steelers still have no idea when running back Le'Veon Bell will show up but are still counting on him to have a big year, general manager Kevin Colbert said Wednesday.

Asked if the Steelers have considered rescinding Bell's $12.1-million franchise tender, Colbert told ESPN the Steelers will work with who's available but "I fully expect Le'Veon Bell to be a significant contributor for the 2017 Steelers. That's as simple as I can state it."

Both sides couldn't reach a long-term contract before the July 17 deadline, and since Bell isn't under contract, he's training in South Florida instead of at St.
