Former North Catholic coach refutes claims about Mike Tomlin

Former Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic coach Jason Gildon refutes a story that claimed Steelers coach Mike Tomlin came to North Catholic’s locker room during a game last season and cussed to the team about game officials.

A story that ran in both the Indiana Gazette and Washington Observer a few days ago claimed a witness said Tomlin used offensive language “while trashing the officials.” Tomlin’s son, Michael, played for North Catholic, but has since transferred to Shady Side Academy along with younger brother, Mason, who did not play football at North Catholic.

“I don’t ever recall [Tomlin] coming to the locker room at any time,” Gildon said.
