Pirates staff shake-up continues as Cora, Bartee and Prince join coaching ranks

Manager Clint Hurdle is still in charge, but the Pirates coaching staff will have a different look in 2017. The club on Saturday announced several changes to the major league staff: Joey Cora will be the third-base coach, Kimera Bartee the first-base coach and Tom Prince the bench coach.

Dave Jauss, who was bench coach last season, will stay on staff as an assistant coach. Brad Fischer has been offered a role in player development, the team said, but has not decided whether to accept. Third-base coach Rick Sofield was fired last week, and first-base coach Nick Leyva was moved to a role as senior advisor of baseball operations.
