The Pirates added infielder Cole Figueroa, outfielder Matt Joyce and lefty reliever Cory Luebke to the 40-man roster this morning.
To make room, they designated shortstop Pedro Florimon, righty John Holdzkom and first baseman Jake Goebbert for assignment. They also optioned corner infielder Jason Rogers to Class AAA Indianapolis and put Jared Hughes (left lat strain), Jung Ho Kang (left knee) and Elias Diaz (right elbow pain) to the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 25.
Figueroa earned the final bench spot on the roster, which looks like this:
