Taillon is the latest Pirate to be sidelined with injury this season, joining fellow starter Chris Archer. The Pirates will now need to venture outside of the original five man rotation to make the start on Tuesday.
The Pirates will select the contract of LHP Tyler Lyons to take his spot on the roster. They will announce a corresponding 40 man roster move before the game.
Additionally, infielder Kevin Newman has been taken off the injury list, and Pablo Reyes has been optioned to AAA.
