Early lead doesn't stick against Mariners

PITTSBURGH -- Felix Hernandez dug Seattle into an early hole, but the Mariners climbed out of it during a pair of big innings and came back to beat the Pirates, 7-4, on Tuesday night at PNC Park.

Making his second start since coming off the disabled list, Hernandez allowed four runs -- all in the first two innings -- on nine hits and a walk over six innings to pick up his fifth win. Down by three runs entering the third, Seattle pummeled Pittsburgh left-hander Francisco Liriano for six runs over the following two innings.
