Bucs bust out early, add on late vs. Yanks

Mercer ripped a leadoff homer off CC Sabathia in the first inning, and Freese drove in another run on an infield single. First baseman Josh Bell crushed a two-run shot in the second, handing top prospect Tyler Glasnow an early four-run lead. Pittsburgh's defense did Glasnow no favors as he threw 102 pitches in 4 2/3 innings, and Josh Harrison's two-run error in the fifth allowed the Yankees to pull within one run. Right-hander Juan Nicasio struck out Austin Romine to end the inning and worked a perfect sixth, then the Bucs' late-inning trio of Felipe Rivero, Daniel Hudson and Tony Watson sealed the victory.
