RHP Domingo Gonzalez (2.29 ERA, 76 K’s in 63 IP) was promoted from the GCL Pirates to West Virginia to help in their playoff push. the 19 year old right-hander, in his second season with the Pirates, began the year in the Dominican Summer League, where he allowed just one run in 25 1⁄3 innings, walking just three with 33 strikeouts. Promoted to the Gulf Coast League, he had a 3.58 ERA in 37 2⁄3 innings, fanning 43.
