Starter Gerrit Cole’s name is starting to show up in what are best described as trade murmurs.
For them to be rumors, there would have to be some indication that the Pirates are interested in dealing the righty at the trading deadline in a couple months. There is not. Just a growing number of suggestions that the Pirates could or should get a king’s ransom if they make him available in a deal this year as teams, notably the Houston Astros, are interested.
He is not available, as far as we know.
