Pirates rally, complete sweep of Marlins with sixth win in a row

By Stephen J. Nesbitt / Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

The Pirates offense has been among the best in baseball with two outs this year, and it showed again this afternoon. Down two runs to the Miami Marlins in the seventh, the Pirates pieced together a five-run, two-out rally to spark a 5-2 win at PNC Park.

The Pirates (24-22) earned their second sweep in a row, extending their winning streak to six games, and earned their first true come-from-behind victory of the season — they entered the day 0-15 when trailing after six innings.

Right-hander Gerrit Cole went seven innings, scattering six hits and seven strikeouts, but served up two solo home runs and left staring at a 2-0 deficit.
