Schedules set for Consol's slate of hockey World Cup exhibitions

The four teams playing exhibition games at Consol Energy Center for next month's World Cup of Hockey have their local practice schedules set for the days leading up to the game.

Canada, Russia, the Czech Republic and Team North America will all practice at Consol or the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry before they play in a doubleheader Sept. 14.

Team Canada, led by Penguins captain Sidney Crosby, will practice at Consol Sept. 13 at 11:30 a.m. They will follow the Czech Republic, which will practice at 9:45 a.m. Sept. 13.

Russia, featuring Penguins star Evgeni Malkin, will be the only team with an extended practice schedule in the area.
