Crosby makes a new, better memory at Heinz Field

Sidney Crosby doesn’t have to hate Heinz Field after all.

The last time Crosby stepped onto the ice here, he suffered a career-altering concussion, the result of a hit from Washington's David Steckel that looked innocuous at the time.

After Saturday's 4-2 Penguins win over the Flyers in an NHL Stadium Series game, Crosby will have to settle for scoring the first goal of the game, off a smart play from Jake Guentzel, another against the Flyers.

“Jake does a great job of keeping the puck alive,” Crosby said of the goal. “I’m around the net.
