Penguins Acquire 2016 Third-Round Draft Pick

The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired a 2016 third-round draft pick from Buffalo as compensation for the Sabres naming Dan Bylsma their head coach, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.

The pick will be one of the third-round selections that the Sabres have previously acquired through trades with the New York Islanders and Vancouver Canucks. Pittsburgh will receive the higher of the picks between those two teams.
