Back to the Pitt Panthers Newsfeed

Pitt baseball has three players selected in the 2017 MLB Draft

Last month, I mentioned that Pitt was unlikely to have any high picks selected in the MLB Draft. That draft was held last week and, well, that proved true as the Panthers had no picks in the top 15 rounds. A few Pitt players did eventually get taken, however.

First off the board was pitcher Josh Falk, who went to the Oakland A's in the 17th Round. Another pitcher, Isaac Mattson, went to the Los Angeles Angels in Round 19. Finally, pitcher Josh Mitchell was scooped up in the 22nd Round by the Kansas City Royals.
