Suns drop season opener against Kings

The goal for the Suns to get one percent better daily was set up for success by how awfully they started the season Wednesday night.

Facing another team projected to miss the playoffs, the Suns were torched early for a 19-point halftime hole. It did not bode well for the result, a 113-94 loss at Talking Stick Resort Arena that was the worst season-opening deficit in franchise history. It also did not set up the Suns well for what lies ahead in the rest of October – at Oklahoma City on Friday before playing Golden State at home and the Los Angeles Clippers on the road in a back-to-back set.
