Former Phoenix Suns forward (1999-2008) Shawn Marion was inducted into the team’s Ring of Honor last night.
Speakers at his ceremony included team owner Mat Ishbia, former Suns’ center Kurt Thomas, former Suns’ GM and Ring of Honor member Jerry Colangelo and Marion himself.
A lot of friends and family came to support Marion, including Steve Nash and Dirk Nowitzki.
It took Marion a long time to finally get his words out to express how emotional this moment was for him, as fans cheered loudly for him after the Suns fell to the Knicks in a very tough loss.
