Despite leading the NBA in 3-point percentage by nearly three percentage points, Phoenix Suns guard Grayson Allen said he will not be participating in the 3-point contest on Feb. 17 during NBA All-Star Weekend.
There are eight contestants for the 3-point competition and seven have already been reported, so it was assumed Allen would not be one of those names as time went on. He confirmed he will not be participating at Suns’ shootaround this morning.
“I wasn’t strongly advocating for it,” Allen said. “I understand the process they go through with how the big guys get to go, so I’m okay on my end.
