Devin Booker scores 23 but Suns lose in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE – On most road stops, the Suns attract eight to 10 fans looking for photos and autographs at the team hotel. Here, two days after Devin Booker became the sixth player in NBA history to score 70 points, that number stretched to 35 or 40.

Moving forward that might be the norm for the Phoenix second-year guard, but so too will be increased attention on the court. That was the case Sunday. Booker, as one of the league's gifted young scorers, always is a defensive focal point, but the Charlotte Hornets didn't give him much room to operate in a 120-106 win at the Spectrum Center.
