Earlier today the Arizona Coyotes announced they had signed undrafted college goaltender Hunter Miska to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Despite not playing hockey until he was a teenager Miska established himself as a solid college goaltender this past season with the University of Minnesota-Duluth. His .920 save percentage and 27-5-5 record lead the team all the way to the National Championship game before ultimately losing to Denver. His play this season earned him a nomination for the NCAA's best goaltending award, the Mike Richter Award.
Catching the eyes of the US National Team Development Program at 16 years old, Miska spent two seasons with the program.
