The Coyotes’ point total didn’t grow at each stop on their recently-completed four-game road trip, but the effort they debuted in the second half was way more indicative of their previous road success than how they started the nine-day excursion.
After stumbling through a pair of 5-2 losses to the Blue Jackets and Islanders, the Coyotes were impressive in holding off the Canadiens 3-2 and competitive in a narrow 3-2 loss to the Jets in their trip finale Saturday.
Arizona now stands 7-5-1 away from home as the team embarks on three games in four nights at Gila River Arena starting Wednesday against the Ducks.
