Coyotes' training camp caps busy offseason

As is usually the case when given five-plus months to brainstorm, change headlined the Coyotes' offseason strategy.

But the transformation that unfolded wasn’t limited to the lineup.

Management underwent a reorganization, the player development staff was beefed up and ownership purchased and moved the team’s minor-league affiliate to Tucson to help facilitate better synergy in the organization.

Add a lengthy list of roster moves, and it certainly looks like the Coyotes understand that to keep this rebuild on track they have to evolve.

“I think we improved across the board,” General Manager John Chayka said on the brink of his first season at the helm.
