WINNIPEG, Manitoba – His time with the organization ended after getting placed on waivers following a 10-game run as a healthy scratch, but new Coyotes center Alexander Burmistrov reflects positively on his five seasons with the Jets – a tenure that no doubt made Wednesday’s reunion in Winnipeg meaningful.
“We came from Atlanta to Winnipeg,” Burmistrov said. “It was great memories. I love the boys, love the crowd. The fans were great, always support me good.”
Burmistrov’s return to MTS Centre was only his second appearance with the Coyotes and came a little more than two weeks after the Jets placed him on waivers.
