Phils lose lefty Milner to Tribe in Rule 5 Draft

Outfielder Andrew Pullin had been a candidate to be selected, but he was not. Pullin, 23, hit a combined .322 with 21 doubles, two triples, 14 home runs, 51 RBIs and an .885 OPS in 359 plate appearances with Class A Advanced Clearwater and Reading.

Other notable Phillies prospects not selected were right-handers Seranthony Dominguez and Miguel Nunez, shortstop Malquin Canelo and outfielders Carlos Tocci and Jose Pujols.

Philadelphia never planned to select anybody in the Major League phase of the Rule 5 Draft because its 40-man roster was already full. But the club did take shortstop Jorge Flores from the Blue Jays' organization in the Minor League phase.
