Phillies Wall of Fame candidate: Steve Bedrosian

While known as star for the Phillies, Steve Bedrosian was originally a third round draft pick by the Atlanta Braves in 1978. He pitched to a 4.44 ERA in 15 games this rookie before a very solid rookie season in 1982, going 8-6 with a 2.42 ERA and 123 strikeouts in 137 2/3 innings in 64 games.

He continued to pitch the next two seasons primarily out of the bullpen, winning 18 and saving 30 before moving to the starting rotation in 1985. Bedrosian set a career-high with 206 2/3 innings that season, but won just seven of 22 decisions with a 3.
