Lehigh Valley IronPigs (13-23)
The IronPigs struggled this past week, going 1-5 against Syracuse in the six-game homestand. Scott Kingery left Friday’s game and didn’t play in either of this weekend’s contests. He hit HRs 7 and 8 on Thursday. Jordan Luplow is having the best offensive season for LHV, slashing .316/.380/.535 with 6 homers. Is he turning a corner, or is he simply this year’s AAA Jake Cave? Mick Abel didn’t give up a ton of runs, but walks continue to be an issue for the prospect. The 22 year old righty has 26 strikeouts to 17 walks in 27.
