Lehigh Valley IronPigs (42-54) – Triple A
A rough sixth inning for starting pitcher Jason Berken led to the IronPigs suffering a 5-1 loss to the Toledo Mud Hens at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown.
Berken engaged in a duel with Toledo’s Tim Melville for the first five frames, as they allowed combined one run.
But Berken (5-7, 3.99 ERA) ran into trouble in the sixth when he coughed up four runs. Berken’s outing ended after the sixth.
Chase d’Arnaud led the IronPigs offensively, as he went 3-for-5 with a double.
