Here’s how the Phillies’ minor league teams fared on Wednesday, July 22:
Lehigh Valley IronPigs – Triple A
Lehigh Valley used a big fifth inning to run past Toledo, 7-4, at Coca-Cola Park. The IronPigs scored five runs in the fifth to take a 7-0 lead before giving a few runs back, but not enough to jeopardize the win.
The middle of the order came through in a big way on Wednesday night.
Brian Bogusevic, Aaron Altherr and Russ Canzler combined to go 7-for-12 with five RBI’s. Bogusevic had three hits while Altherr and Canzler drove in two runs apiece.
