Remember David Buchanan? He was named the International League's pitcher of the week after allowing just two runs in his last three starts. The righthander struck out 13 batters and walked six over the 22-inning stretch. He has a 4.05 ERA this season in 19 starts. Buchanan will have a good chance of starting for the Phillies in September as the team could be forced to shut down some of its young pitchers because of innings constraints. . . . Darin Ruf hit his team-leading 13th homer on Tuesday night. He has a .519 slugging percentage in 63 games since joining the IronPigs in May.
