Philadelphia PA: As the rebuilding of the entire Philadelphia Phillies team and front office continues with a search for a new general manager which is lead by new team president Andy MacPhail. The Phillies announced on Wednesday that they have hired two new coaches to the Phillies coaching staff under manager Pete Mackanin and they are Rick Kranitz and John McLaren . Kranitz will serve as the bullpen coach while McLaren has been named the catching coach
Rick Kranitz has spent the last five years (2011-15) as pitching coach for Milwaukee Brewers, and he also spent time with the Baltimore Orioles (2008-10) and Florida Marlins (2006-07).
