Getting the call to the Show: Phils players recall the thrill

The chartered bus pulled into Allentown - home of the triple-A IronPigs - and someone told Maikel Franco that the manager wanted to see him. Franco, then the Phillies' top prospect, went to Dave Brundage's office inside Coca-Cola Park, where the manager was joined by two of his coaches.

They told Franco he had to pay a $50 fine for missing a weightlifting session. Franco said OK. Brundage then asked how many times Franco's family has been to Philadelphia. Franco said once. Brundage said they would be going again because the fine was a ruse and Franco was headed to the majors.
